Rental Terms
Pickup & Return
- Pickup: from 15:00 on the start date.
- Return: before 11:00 on the end date.
- The van must be returned clean and with a full tank (diesel).
- Location: Overveen. The exact address will be provided after confirmation.
Booking & Payment
- A booking is final after confirmation by Campfire Vans.
- The minimum rental period is usually 4 nights. During peak season a longer minimum may apply.
- After confirmation, a 30% deposit must be paid within 7 days.
- The remaining balance must be paid at least 4 weeks before the start date.
- For bookings within 4 weeks of departure, the full amount must be paid immediately.
Security Deposit
- The security deposit is €1,250 and must be paid before departure.
- After returning the van in good condition, the deposit will be fully refunded.
- Any damage or additional costs will be deducted from the deposit.
Driver
- Minimum age: 23 years.
- Must have held a valid category B driving license for at least 3 years.
- A second driver is permitted under the same conditions.
Mileage
- 1,500 km per week included.
- Extra kilometres: €0.20 per km.
What's included in the rental price?
- The rental price includes all-risk insurance, 1,500 km per week and use of the van's standard equipment.
- The van is fully equipped. Extras such as bedding and towels can be added. You only need to bring your personal belongings.
Insurance & Roadside Assistance
- All-risk insurance is included in the rental price.
- The excess is €500 per incident.
- The insurance is valid throughout Europe.
- All vans have roadside assistance insurance. We are also reachable by phone for support.
Traffic Fines
- The renter is fully responsible for all traffic fines incurred during the rental period.
- Campfire Vans will forward any fines to the renter, plus €15 administration costs per fine.
Abroad
- Our vans may be used throughout Europe.
- We recommend letting us know which country you plan to visit.
Pets
- Please contact us to discuss this. In some cases this is possible, depending on the van and the animal.
Cancellation
- Up to 60 days before departure: full refund minus €50 admin fee.
- 30–60 days before departure: 50% refund.
- Less than 30 days before departure: no refund.
- We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.
